My MFW S/S 2014 picks

My selection of favourite looks from Milan Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2014. The Ports 1961 'skirt look' shows a silhouette I definitely intend on trying out myself next spring, it's the perfect slouchy take on a classic feminine look.

Midweek

(Zara blazer, H&M Trend sweater and trousers,  Converse shoes, Céline bag and Marc by Marc Jacobs beanie)

My outfits don't come much more casual than this. These new trousers from H&M Trend are almost móre comfy than sweatpants - if that was even possible, that is - and the black on black on black just feels really safe and easy. So there you go.

Behind the scenes at #Bodenpressday

Up until recently I didn't think a brand like Boden suited my own personal style. When you look at their campaigns and website the overall feel is quite happy and colourful, whereas my style, in my opinion, is a lot more relaxed, tomboyish and.. should I say unhappy? However, as much as I LOVE (high) fashion, the fashion blogosphere these days is tiring me out a little by everyone copying each other's (often designer) looks and trying to be cooler than the next person. I still like to believe I'm more of a style blogger than a fashion blogger and so I've told myself I need to look into different brands to see how they could work for me, even if at first sight I don't think they'll suit me! And so I had a closer look at the Boden brand and noticed just how British it is (and this, as a true Anglophile, is something that obviously appeals to me), what the quality of their clothes is like (cashmere sweaters!), and how the "happiness" might not be such a bad thing. Now, I still don't see myself as a typical Boden girl but I'm really glad I got to experience the Boden warmth and happiness at their Press Day in London last week and I have discovered some truly great items in their collection that could certainly work for me.

Hope you'll enjoy this little Behind the Scenes video of the Google Hangout and the two lovely days I spent with Boden at the Somerset House in London. Thanks for having me @Bodenclothing!

A very randomly put together weekend outfit that we snapped a while ago - perfect for running those weekend errands and staying warm in the rainy autumn weather.
