At The British Museum

(Zara top, H&M Trend trousers, Converse sneakers, Céline bag and Michael Kors watch)

An all black outfit is usually what I go for when I don't know what else to wear anymore. Or when I need to feel safe, comfortable or even invisible. But in the bright hall of The British Museum this all black look actually made me stand out a little. Quite the contrast!

Seaside view

(COS coat, Citizens of Humanity jeans, Céline bag, Scapa boots, COS beanie and Ray-Ban sunglasses)

These pics were taken on one of my walks along the seashore last weekend. It looked beautiful but still felt wintery cold actually, hence the layers and beanie hat. All black and navy, this will forever be a favourite combination of mine.

Winter basics

(COS coat, Citizens of Humanity jeans, Scapa boots, Céline bag, Johnstons scarf and Ray-Ban sunglasses)

A very basic and random workday outfit consisting of that chic light grey coat I love so much, a cashmere Boden sweater, skinny jeans (never my first pick..) and my classic black leather ankle boots.

Have you been keeping up with the Fall 2014 collections from NYFW this week? Well, I have and there are some collections that got me pretty excited! I'll be sharing some of my favourite looks from different collections soon.

Layers

(H&M Trend coat and pinstripe blazer, COS shirt, Zara jeans, Céline bag, COS beanie and Ray-Ban sunglasses)

Wearing stripes over stripes and a blazer under my coat.. layers are álways a smart option in winter, although unfortunately I still can't say it's really needed over here as there's hardly a winter to speak of. I (stupidly) lost my gloves in Stockholm last week but I have not even missed them since seeing as it's nowhere near as icy cold here as it was up there. Anyway, loose fits are still the way to go for me - can't seem to get enough of the slouchy silhouette.

In wintery Stockholm

(Zara down jacket, trousers and shoes, Céline bag and COS beanie hat)

I had been longing for wintery temperatures like these (-2° to -6° C here in Sweden at the moment) for weeks! Stockholm in the winter could be even more lovely than in summer? I for one am really enjoying the freezing wind in my face, the layer of snow on the sidewalks (mostly outside of the center though) and I love that Stockholm still has so many Christmas decorations up! It's just beautiful and it's great to be back.

Some of you have been asking me for tips on what to wear during freezing cold weather and, to be honest, something like this is about all I could come up with so far: a cute down jacket (preferably with a big hood that you can layer over a woolen beanie hat for extra warm ears?), woolen trousers and sheepskin or (faux) fur lined biker boots.. I usually prefer my coats oversized and I definitely would've wished for this one to be longer as well but I've found that with down coats they seem warmer when they fit a little tighter around the body. So anyway, perhaps not the most stylish girl on the block but there's lots of other things to concentrate on when it's this cold.
