Chanel Couture A/W 2015 - Behind the Scenes

There's such an incredible amount of time and work that goes into making a collection like this and then presenting it to the world, and seeing this makes me realise and appreciate it all the more. All the little details, from the actual clothing to the stage setup, are thought out into perfection. There are so many looks from this Haute Couture collection I personally just love as well. I already showed you some of my favourites here but I never mentioned that wedding dress suit yet, so can we please talk about this for a second? Doesn't it just blow your mind? Even if it's just for Julianne Moore this video is worth watching, btw, she's stunning. The Making Of Chanel Haute Couture

I absolutely love closeup videos like this and I feel like it would just be a shame or a waste if we would never actually get the chance to have a closer look at all the details in Haute Couture collections. It's incredible to see all the intricate craftsmanship (and, no doubt, hours of work) that goes into the making of a (Chanel) Haute Couture piece. So, just watch and be in awe!

Haute Couture Fall 2014

Just some favourites I picked out from the latest Haute Couture collections. Collections that always tend to make me wish I was either Cate Blanchett or just impossibly chic. For Fall 2014 I spotted some red carpet gowns I'll be keeping in mind for my Awards Season Red Carpet wishlists, but besides the glamour some more wearable designs caught my eye as well, most notably from Christian Dior. The maxi coats worn over long loose fit trousers are right up my street - and effortlessly elegant.

Red Carpet Season

Sooo.. Awards Season has kicked off this week and you may remember from previous years on my blog that I'm the kind of geek who gets pretty excited about this. However, I've only actually seen a few of the films yet that are in the "race" this year so this means that I'm going to be really busy catching up on those over the next few weeks! And what it also means is that until then I will mainly be focusing on the red carpets instead. I've picked out a few (mostly current season) gowns I'd love to see the (so far) nominated actresses wear on the red carpet and so tomorrow on Golden Globes night I'll be holding my breath (no, really..) to see if any of them (and their stylists, obviously) will make my red carpet wish come true - OR if perhaps they've had an even better styling idea 'cause I sure wouldn't mind some big custom made surprises either.
