I recently wore this black Ganni velvet dress with Ganni leggings and Tamara Mellon shoes to my mum's Birthday party and I have to say this is by far the most comfortable 'party look' I've ever worn. I love how velvet can make any outfit look more festive. Wish I had the full look to show you already.. but hopefully some other time. image for Fash n Chips
Faux fur stole
(Monki faux fur stole, Boden cashmere sweater, Mango trousers, Jimmy Choo boots, Céline bag, Triwa watch and Ray-Ban sunglasses)
A few weeks ago I fell "accidentally in love" with this stole. One of those things I did not know I needed in my wardrobe until I added it and ended up wearing it daily. It is so soft and comfy and in all these weeks of feeling sick and in pain it's really become my favourite item to throw on with any outfit - even my pyjamas. Or, in this case, culottes and a simple cashmere sweater. It tends to give everything an instant little touch of "diva" as well, which I (surprisingly) quite like.

Begin Again
I saw this film a while ago and was pretty charmed by it. Cute, simple story, a New York backdrop and the ever cool Mark Ruffalo in the lead.. what's not to like? I can definitely recommend it for a dark and rainy afternoon!
Begin Again synopsis:
The latest film from writer-director John Carney is a soul-stirring comedy about what happens when lost souls meet and make beautiful music together. Gretta (Keira Knightley) and her long-time boyfriend Dave (Adam Levine) are college sweethearts and songwriting partners who decamp for New York when he lands a deal with a major label. But the trappings of his new-found fame soon tempt Dave to stray, and a reeling, lovelorn Gretta is left on her own. Her world takes a turn for the better when Dan (Mark Ruffalo), a disgraced record-label exec, stumbles upon her performing on an East Village stage and is immediately captivated by her raw talent. From this chance encounter emerges an enchanting portrait of a mutually transformative collaboration, set to the soundtrack of a summer in New York City.
