Heels vs. Sneakers

I used to wear heels a lot more than I do these days. Of course I still opt for some extra height when I need to feel a little more dressy or confident but more often than not I go for flat shoes instead. Because even though my heels aren't exactly torturing me, my sneakers are just so much more comfortable. And so when I ám actually wearing heels now you can be sure that I'm carrying a pair of sneakers in my handbag or have a pair waiting for me in the car. I find that most of my outfits tend to work well with both these kinds of footwear anyway and I quite like to sometimes switch it up a bit halfway during the day!

A hint of femininity

I am actually as surprised as you probably are to see myself in a frilly mesh dress. I can't say I feel particularly comfortable showing off my feminine shape (for whatever reason), hence the oversized bomber jacket, but I do think it's fun to at least dress a little more womanly from time to time. And this dress really is amazing, I'm already looking forward to wearing it again - possibly with a pair of biker boots for a bit of contrast.

High-waisted

New season, new pair of culottes. These, as you can see, are high-waisted and that's not a fit I'm particularly used to but I quite like how much taller it makes me look! I added the heels for a touch of chic but completed this look with a basic tee and my loose fit Ganni bomber - which has fast become a big favourite of mine.
