Now, to be honest, I don't really believe in trends and must-haves as I think the best personal styles are not made up of that per se. So I'm not going to give you a list of trends or things that I think you really "should have" but instead I'm going to name a few things I personally need or want for spring. Not even just for this spring in particular as a lot of it goes for every spring season that comes along really.

1. Sunglasses. I wear them all the time, all year long - and especially in the early bright days of spring they're an absolute must-have for me. My favourites are still my black round Ray-Ban wayfarers. They're absolute classics. 2. Sneakers. I got my Adidas 'Gazelle' sneakers a year ago and my white Superga sneakers later that summer and I wouldn't mind finding another pair that goes as perfect with all my outfits as these 2 pairs do. But if I don't find it I'll just continue on wearing these for another season. 3. Cropped jeans. These slightly bootcut jeans from Weekday (as seen on Tine Andrea) are the absolute perfect fit. 4. A white tee and white shirt. Just because they're easy to combine with any kind of outfit. 5. Fun plans and activities to keep the mind occupied. I know it sounds crazy to most people but I don't really like spring and how it makes me feel. For a bunch of reasons, including my health, I usually can't wait for this season to be over. And so if work alone isn't doing the trick for me I try to schedule in some extra fun activities or little trips to keep me busy. 6. A hat or cap. I always bring a hat or a cap with me on bright days. Most of the time it will just be a simple black or white baseball cap but this pinstripe one from ASOS has now found its way on to my wishlist as well. 7. My bike. 8. An in-between coat like this classic midi length MAC from ASOS. 9. Sunscreen. I wear sunscreen on my face all day and all year - or any time my allergy sensitive skin lets me. It's so important, especially in spring and summer! 10. I am really not a gym person but, when the weather lets me, I do enjoy kicking a football, jumping around on music like a crazy person with a jumping rope or playing with a hula-hoop. You know, basically just anything that makes me exercise without it looking or feeling like exercise.

From Italy

(dress designed by me, Adidas slides, Céline bag, V&D visor and Ray-Ban sunglasses)

I just got back from a week of holiday in Italy and had an absolute great time. Before I show you some snaps I shot throughout my stay I thought I'd share one of my outfits that I wore on a day with temperatures around 35 degrees Celcius. These are temperatures way higher than what I'm used to and my wardrobe is not really prepared for days like that. However, a recent new design of mine, this navy cotton summer dress, appeared to be just perfect for this kind of hot summer weather. The wide fit I originally thought would be great to cover up my pizza-filled tummy, but, in addition to doing that, it turned out to be just perfectly breezy as well. The black visor btw is a favourite this summer, I've been wearing it almost non-stop.
