My friends call me crazy - for quite a few reasons but particularly for not wearing socks in the winter. When I wear my oversized layers, though, I feel like the only way to keep those from overwhelming me is by keeping my ankles bare. And of course I do get cold feet but I always have my UGGs waiting for me at home so it's just fine.

'The Theory of Everything' is the film I had been looking forward to the most these past months. I have, of course, the biggest crush on Eddie Redmayne and the fact that he was portraying someone so extraordinary in a film that would show glimpses of a city I have the absolute best memories of (Cambridge, where I lived for a while) - well, it was all I needed to be sold before I'd even seen the trailer. Eddie and Felicity Jones, as Stephen Hawking and Jane Wilde, both give flawless performances that had me crying quite a bit. I knew, of course, who Stephen Hawking is and I knew about his work and theories but I have to admit that without this film I'd never have known much about his life with his first wife Jane. And while at first I was a bit disappointed to learn the film actually shows very little about Stephen's work, I did not mind at all in the end. This heartbreaking yet heartwarming real life love story made me come out of the theatre feeling strangely uplifted and positively inspired.
At the Golden Globes on Sunday night Eddie took home the Lead Actor in a Motion Picture (Drama) award and obviously I'm absolutely thrilled about this. Felicity Jones was up for her role as well but Julianne Moore won in that category for her role in 'Still Alice' (which I have yet to see). However, Felicity can take home the Best Dressed award, if you ask me, as she looked beyond amazing in her classic teal Christian Dior gown. She and Diane Kruger were my favourite looks of this event by far! The film also won a Golden Globe for Best Original Score (by composer Jóhann Jóhannsson).

I am someone who usually carries a big stuffed backpack with me everywhere I go. And so, if you catch me with a cute little bag like this one, chances are my coat pockets are chock-a-block with things that couldn't fit into the bag but that I still feel like I might need at some point during the day. But anyway, from time to time I enjoy combining a chic little piece of eye candy (in this case a.k.a. the Jimmy Choo 'Candy' bag!) with an otherwise pretty casual look.

Visiting London around Christmas time has become a bit of a tradition for me these last few years. I absolutely love going there to soak up the Christmassy atmosphere around the ice rinks and Christmas markets and to drool over the gorgeous Christmas windows. The ones at Harrods are always my favourite - and this year was no different.
Now I'm off to enjoy some days of peace and laziness and I wish you all a fantastic Christmas! I'll be back before the year ends, I promise.
