Happy 2014 everyone! After spending an absolute fantastic New Year's Eve in London I flew back early yesterday morning and even today I'm not quite ready yet to go back into my normal routine. Leaving the sparkly December days behind and start a whole new year I always find a little daunting. BUT at the same time I'm excited at the prospect of new projects and opportunities.
So anyway! To start the year on a bit of a light note here are some random things I can recommend you to check out: 1 Me in net-a-porter.com's The Edit magazine (!) (here) 2 London Fireworks 2014 (here) 3 Cate Blanchett on the cover of Vogue US January 2014 (here) 4 Être et Avoir (2002) (trailer here) 5 'When Did the Period Get so Angry?' by Leandra Medine (here) 6 Kate Moss' first ever shoot (here) 7 David Gray 'A New Day At Midnight' (here) and lyrics (here) 8 1D: This is US (2013) (trailer here) 9 Nicole, Stockholm by Garance Doré (here) 10 London Eye Panorama by Kiwi Bird Productions (here)

This is supposed to kind of sum up the last 12 months - the way I've seen and experienced it through fashion, film, music, travelling, etc. It hasn't been the easiest year for me personally so I'm glad to get a fresh new start soon and hopefully 2014 will be a great one. I plan on starting it with a bit of a bang anyway - on my way to London again as we speak - so bye bye 2013!

Hope you've all had a lovely and peaceful Christmas!? I know the month is not over yet but so far this one must have been my favourite of 2013 - although, to be fair, December is pretty much my favourite month of any year. This year I made sure I finished all my work on time so that after I came back from London I could have some proper days of (well deserved, imo) laziness as well. This free time I spent having a LOTR marathon and catching up on series and sleep and I've enjoyed every minute of it.

So I got back from London last night and found a bunch of presents under my Christmas tree! (I'm not even kidding) This All Saints padded leather biker jacket had been on my wishlist for ages, it's absolutely gorgeous. And it's not too late to get one as a treat for yourself (or whoever) this Christmas - visit allsaints.com now! Also new in are these tweed trousers from Second Female, they're very cute and comfy. Thank you very much Santa(s)!
