NYFW & LFW Fall 2016

My favourites from the New York and London Fall 2016 runways! Trouser looks and inspiring new shapes and silhouettes from NYFW, where the Proenza Schouler collection in particular stood out for me. And casual yet elegant loose fit ensembles seen at LFW, where the striped Mulberry suit was my definite favourite. Also, a bunch of stunning gowns I wouldn't mind seeing on the Oscars red carpet come Sunday!

Tibi surprisingly manages to make me like sequins, Calvin Klein Collection takes us back to the 90's and those sexy silky slip-dresses, while Delpozo once again blows my mind with its romanticism and otherworldly silhouettes. Jason Wu at Boss makes loose-fits still seem sophisticated, which is something I'm always aiming for myself, and Victoria Beckham's collection, in her words, is "about attitude and just making things fresh and carefree" - bet it suits her feelings about her place in the fashion world. ('cause I doubt anyone was still trying, but she really can not be ignored!) The Tome collection is made out of possibly my favourite colour palette (including khaki, navy, white and black) and I am loving the slouchy layered looks that still manage to look so feminine. Narciso Rodriguez shows us clean and cool, while Rosetta Getty's collection, inspired by postmodern dance, is a little more fluid. The 3.1 Phillip Lim collection consists of interesting lengths, layers and details I will definitely be keeping in mind for when I'm trying to un-dull my outfits next spring. Riccardo Tisci is celebrating his tenth year at Givenchy and for this he revisited ideas he's been working on throughout those years and clearly these still are just as impressive. Proenza Schouler's collection is giving us frills that I, quite surprisingly, actually adore. And Peter Copping's collection for Oscar de la Renta, as usual, makes me dream of perhaps someday being sort of a.. princess?

NYFW Fall 2015 Favourites

The Row's new collection is as clean and effortlessly elegant as always and Rosetta Getty inspires me to experiment a little more with details and colours. Michael Kors showed great layering, gorgeous gold accents and a bunch of fantastic coats that I would not mind adding to my wardrobe. The Opening Ceremony and Tibi collections both stood out for me because of the great culottes that I'm obviously still obsessed with. Rosie Assoulin makes me want to give new shapes and colours a try - with that stunning green look in particular! And finally, Proenza Schouler's rawness just rocked.
