Over-the-knee boots
I'm not really planning on getting a lot of new stuff for my autumn and winter wardrobe and I am not big on trends but if there's one I can see myself sporting right now it definitely is the over-the-knee boot. I love how they make for such an effortlessly cool eye-catching part of any outfit. I actually think that it's one of the few trends that I have always followed when it came around again in the past. And this season I'm also interested in trying to make the suede block heeled over-the-knee boots work for me - but I have yet to find a pair that suit my not-exactly-long-and-lean legs. And, of course, there's also the matter of budget. But anyway, if those were not issues I think these (below) are some of the best options that I have found so far.. Favourites from LFW Fall 2014
Random looks that stood out from me from the London Fashion Week collections this week. Many new scarf wearing ideas (Burberry Prorsum, Mark Fast..), more lessons in layering (Richard Nicoll, Paul Smith..) and definitely a little bit more colour than the looks I picked from New York Fashion Week last week. I'd happily see myself drown in one of those fuzzy coats (Felder Felder, Topshop Unique..) or give that bright orange loose fit Preen suit with peplum detail a try sometime. The grey knitted sweater dress by Joseph is what I'd most like to be wearing right now though, it looks insanely comfortable and I love how its styled with the matching beanie and sturdy lace-up boots as well. Pop of red
Topshop gloves, Stella McCartney coat, Tom Ford lipstick, The Row cashmere V-neck sweater, Alexander McQueen skull lock clutch bag, The Row cropped trousers and Stella McCartney faux leather two tone loafers
So, obviously I love wearing grey and I especially seem to have a thing for all grey outfits. Lately, however, I've been wanting to drop a bit of colour into every grey look that I pick out and I think red is one of the best colours to go with. The above ensemble, except from the gloves, can be found entirely at Harrods. And if only I had the budget for it I'd be filling up my wardrobe with The Row pieces right now, they just make the most perfect classic items. As does Stella McCartney! Speaking of Harrods - have you checked out their Christmas Gift Guide yet? 'Tis the season! - Happy weekend everyone!
My LFW S/S 2014 picks
I showed you some of my favourite looks from NYFW last week and here are my picks from London. More colour and prints this time but I guess the overall feel of these looks is what you may have come to expect from me - casual cool and relaxed with a bit of an edge? The Topshop Unique and Joseph collections stood out for me this (London) fashion week.
