So, the "biggest fashion event of the year" took place in New York last night, aka the MET Gala, this year themed 'China: Through the Looking Glass'. And we all know I enjoy a big red carpet event from time to time, even if all I get to do is scroll through the images of it over breakfast. At the MET Gala I like to see people go "all out" and a few attendees did just that. Fan Bingbing was exquisite in Christopher Bu, Emily Blunt took a risk (which paid off, imo!) in Prada and Rihanna definitely did not hold back either, showing up in an extravagant Guo Pei Couture coat. Safer looks that still stood out for me because of their beauty were a very pregnant Jaime King in Jason Wu for Hugo Boss, Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace and Alexa Chung in Erdem. However, my favourite look of the night had to be Rose Byrne in Calvin Klein Collection! On this image in particular. Slightly risky but in theme and utterly gorgeous from head to toe.
As for the worst dressed, imo: Beyonce. There, I said it.
The 'China: Through the Looking Glass' exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art runs from May 7 to August 16.
