I've seen a lot of great films these past few weeks, but there's one I just can't seem to shake. 'We need to talk about Kevin', directed by Lynne Ramsay, is based on the best-selling novel of the same name and is so powerful and disturbing - it's been days since I've seen it and it's still haunting me. Tilda Swinton is brilliant in her role as a mother who tries to deal with her grief and guilt after her teenage son went on a massive killing-spree at his high school. Ezra Miller's portrayal of Kevin as a teenager is strong as well (and positively frightening!) and the 2 young actors that play Kevin as a toddler and a 6 year old are just as impressive. You have to know the subject of this film before you go and see it or it can be pretty unsettling, but I REALLY do recommend this one.
