Definitely one of the most interesting film trailers I've seen this year and I can't wait to find out if this film is as good as the trailer suggests. It's an "indie sci-fi" about space travel and the discovery of a second Earth right next to ours, but at the same time it simply tells the story of a girl who's trying to deal with knowing she made a terrible mistake that changed her own life and someone else's forever. It seems touching and very original and if anyone has seen this film already I would love to hear your thoughts on it :)
You can watch the trailer below and here's the official synopsis:
The movie circles around the life of an ambitious young student and a brilliant composer. In 'Another Earth', Rhoda Williams (Brit Marling), a bright young woman accepted into MIT’s astrophysics program, aspires to explore the cosmos. A brilliant composer, John Burroughs (William Mapother), has just reached the pinnacle of his profession and is about to have a second child. On the evening of the discovery of a duplicate earth, tragedy strikes and the lives of these strangers become irrevocably intertwined.
