Awards Season officially kicks off tonight with the People's Choice Awards and I couldn't be more excited (I look forward to Awards Season even more than I do to Christmas). I always pick dresses I want (or expect) the nominees and presenters to wear, but of course I always make an imaginary list of dresses for myself as well.. just in case I'd suddenly get invited to these shows ;) So this is my list of dresses for this season! I picked looks only from recent collections and obviously I may have to change the list a little after Haute Couture fashion week later this month, but for now I'm quite pleased with my list. I chose dresses that haven't been worn on the red carpet before (that I know of!), that would compliment my figure and suit my skintone and that also would be best for each particular event. For example; the Rodarte dress looks young and fresh and would therefore be perfect for the People's Choice Awards, whereas the Monique Lhuillier ball gown would be better suited for the Golden Globe Awards. Also, the BAFTA Awards take place in London where it can be very cold in February, which is why I chose a long-sleeved Elie Saab Couture gown for this event and the Alexis Mabille Couture gown is supposed to make me feel like the Queen of red carpet at the Oscars. ;) ♥
