Italian wedding
Dress designed by me, Zara shoes, Céline bag, custom-made Atelier GeJe earrings and Karen Walker sunglasses
So what does one wear to a summer wedding in Italy? I have to say it was a real head scratcher for me at first because a. I don't usually wear dresses and b. I never know how to dress for warm weather anyway as I prefer "sweater weather". So for my friend's wedding in Italy I wanted to go for a simple dress, comfy and roomy enough to cover up a possible pizza belly. However, I soon realised that it wasn't going to be easy to find what I was looking for. So I came up with this design (wide and with 3/4 rolled up sleeves) and was originally going to have it made in a neutral colour. But then I came across this floral fabric and instantly fell in love with it. I have a thing for floral prints anyway but I never quite know how to fit them into my everyday minimalistic style anymore. And so this dress is quite a bit different from what you're used to see me wear but I think because of the print it just screams 'Italy' and so what better occasion to ever wear this than to my friend's Italian wedding? Loved looking girly for a change.
