So this is what me and pretty much all Birk-obsessed fashion bloggers have been doing this weekend: writing posts on Bassike's latest Resort 2014 collection. The images from their lookbook were brought to my attention by fashiongonerogue (thank you!) and, although I can't possibly be the only blogger posting about this collection, I wanted to go forward with it anyway. Even if it would ONLY be to show people in my own little Dutch hometown how Birks can álso be worn and, quite frankly, even look to-die-for. Forget those too tight denim skirts, white leggings and polyester tunics but opt for quality knits, loose fit trousers and (belted) blazers instead. Also, muted colours are one of the first things to try if you want your "Birks look" to not appear cheap. I would obviously wear all of these outfits (as shown above) in a heartbeat. And not just with sandals! Sneakers would look great with these looks also - as would a classic pair of heels.
