Snow and Golden Globes

FIRST SNOW OF 2013! Here in the Netherlands anyway. And the world looks so beautiful again. This is what I wore yesterday when I stepped outside for two seconds: Olive angora sweater, Zara furry waistcoat, Topshop pom pom hat and Ray-Ban sunglasses. AND Awards Season has kicked off! Have I mentioned I'm a little obsessed with anything to do with Awards Season? ;) Always have been. And clearly I'm a huge film geek as well. So anyway, did anyone watch the show on Sunday? Unfortunately I had a stupid accident that day after which I wasn't really up for pulling an all-nighter, so I watched the Red Carpet show on E! and went to sleep after that and then I watched the actual show on Monday.

SO, what did we think? My favourite red carpet look had to be Naomi Watts in Zac Posen - the pictures don't do her justice, she looked even more beautiful in motion. Love the deep red colour, the cutout back and long sleeves. Favourite guys on the red carpet: Eddie Redmayne and Leonardo DiCaprio, easy! I'm not a big fan of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, but I was pleasently surprised by their presentation of the show and particularly enjoyed their clever jokes about Meryl Streep ("she is not here tonight, she has the flu and I hear she's amaazing in it.") and Anne Hathaway ("none of us have plans to do porn.."). I was happy to see some of my favourites win (Julianne Moore, Daniel Day-Lewis, anything 'Homeland' and 'Les Miserables'..) and also loved seeing Hugh Jackman win instead of Bradley Cooper - thank goodness! Also, Jodie Foster's speech really moved me and I always love seeing Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz together, such a good-looking couple. Anyway, haven't seen all of this Awards Season's nominated films yet but believe me, I'm working on it. Bring on the SAGs!
