I've now visited this city in both summer and winter season and I have to say it's pretty high up on my list of favourite places. The old part is beautiful to just stroll around, shopping is great, there's plenty of coffee places to be found and the whole atmosphere is just really very pleasant. I will be back, for sure.

Scandic Grand Central Stockholm

I got back from Stockholm late last night and although nothing beats the comfort of my own bed I have to say Hotel Scandic Grand Central has been a pretty perfect home these past few days. The spacious superior room I stayed in had everything I could possibly need and the atmosphere in the entire hotel is warm and welcoming - I can't wait to go back. Thanks again for having me Scandic Grand Central!

I'll try and put some more Stockholm posts up soon, including some MBFW Stockholm impressions, but I'm really busy at the moment and have a ton of photos to go through first. But stay tuned!

London in December

I spent some wonderful days in London again last week, soaking up the Christmas atmosphere, admiring the beautiful window displays and enjoying the cold December days to the fullest. I'm one of those people who actually gets a little sad knowing that from now on the days are going to get longer again, I much prefer the cosiness of Winter. But anyway, for now: MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Paris snapshots

It's hard to tell by looking at these images we snapped but the weather in Paris during PFW was actually pretty wonderful. It was cloudy a lot but with that perfect smell of autumn in the air (!) and with those gold winged horses on Pont Alexandre III shining bright in the occasional bit of sunlight.

This time I stayed in an appartment on Rue Saint-Honoré which was, because of its location, both great and pretty intimidating. Great because it's right next to the Jardin des Tuileries, my favourite spot during fashion week. Intimidating because people in this street seem to have a certain 'air' around them. And after a day in heels I personally really enjoy going out for a coffee in the evening wearing sandals and a sweatshirt - I can tell you now that this is something that can cause quite a few raised eyebrows in this particular area of Paris! I can't say it's the best place in the city if you plan on being your own relaxed self. BUT thankfully all that did not really spoil my fun one bit. Because that is what it is! Work, of course, but moreover FUN.

I still have lots of inspirational (streetstyle) images from PFW to share as well but I'll save those for later. Stay tuned!

Maastricht in August

So, like I said, I spent some lovely days in Maastricht this week, in the south of the Netherlands! Strangely I had never visited this city before but it really has some fantastic shops, lots of nice restaurants and a really good atmosphere. Thought I'd share some random impressions with you all and recommend that you go and visit this place yourself sometime if you haven't done so before. Have a great weekend everyone!
