Shoe of the Season

LOVE. These Isabel Marant ankle-cuffed statement heels are undoubtedly my favourite shoes this S/S season. Love the contrast between the black leather and the ecru cotton-raffia and also that little wrap-around buckle fastening strap. You can find these shoes here or see them in action in this video.

The Royal Wedding in Vogue UK (May 2011)

I'm not a particularly romantic person, but for some reason I really love red carpet and bridal gowns and I couldn't be more excited about the royal wedding coming up this month :) Vogue UK decided to dedicate an entire issue to this day and from the previews I've seen so far it looks pretty good (I adore the big wedding shoot - see pics above) Exciting also is the fact that this is the first time ever a Vogue UK issue comes with 3 different covers; Mario Testino photographed models Natalia Vodianova, Lara Stone and Freja Beha Erichsen in bridal gowns for the cover shoot (you can find a video from this shoot here) Freja's is by far my favourite (I love seeing this completely different side of her!) and I really hope I'll manage to find this one here in Holland.

Michael Kors Spring 2011

The Michael Kors Spring 2011 collection is one of my favourites this season. Love the bold colours in combination with the neutrals, the relaxed feel to the collection and MOST of all I appreciate all the wide trousers and maxi skirts.

Gisele Bündchen for Vogue Paris April 2011

So Gisele Bündchen is on the cover of the April 2011 issue of Vogue Paris, which is obviously the first issue with Emmanuelle Alt as editor in chief. Dressed in a white Dolce & Gabbana dress from the Spring 2011 collection, Gisele looks very pretty and natural. I like the pose and the white text and I think this makes for a perfect fresh looking Spring cover, I love it.
