Art by Toshy

Bloggernet launched their new website recently and although unfortunately I wasn't able to attend the launch party in Amsterdam last week I still wanted to share this pic that I found on Twitter/Instagram! Artist Toshy was at the event to do some live painting and created this awesome piece of art that shows my face between Lucy's and Vivian's and decorated with quotes from other influencers. It's pretty nice, huh? You can see more of his work from this event in this little video.

2014 MET Costume Institute Gala

So, the biggest fashion event of the year, the 2014 MET Gala, took place in NY last night. You must know by now that I'm quite the fan of a good red carpet event! Unfortunately there was no livestream to watch the arrivals but taking my time this morning to go through all the images and news about it also had its charm. This year the gala honored British-born designer Charles James, who was also called "America's First Couturier". As a designer Charles was known for his signature ball gowns and sexy silhouettes and so I was expecting to see a lot of this on last night's red carpet. As usual not everyone stuck with the theme but some of my favourite interpretations of it were from Hailee Steinfeld in Prabal Gurung, Felicity Jones in Theory by Olivier Theyskens and Arizona Muse in Ralph & Russo Couture (she nailed it). Best dressed couple I thought was Emma Stone (gorgeous in two-toned Thakoon) and Andrew Garfield. But I guess my favourite look of the night had to be Ashley Olsen in vintage Chanel. Unfortunately there were also a lot of red carpet failures but let's not go there. You can find many more great looks from the night here.
