The Birth of a Queen

I'm still a little bit on a high from the fairytale that took place in the Netherlands last Tuesday! Absolutely loved every minute and every emotion of the day and Máxima's blue Jan Taminiau dress had me jumping up and down with excitement. Isn't it perfect? This image can be found in the special edition of Dutch Vogue's 'Maxima, the Birth of a Queen', a stunning collector's edition full with images from Máxima's life and the inauguration of King Willem-Alexander earlier this week..

That's actually "de W van Willem!" and not me attempting to make a peace sign (I would never). It's Queen's Day/Royal Succession Day here and the country has turned a little orange again! Can't wait to see what the royal guests will be wearing for this epic occasion, especially Maxima of course! SO should you miss me, I'm watching tv.. (Instagram @ fash_n_chips)

The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier

Last week I went to check out the exhibition 'The Fashion World of Jean Paul Gaultier: from the Sidewalk to the Catwalk', organised by the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts in collaboration with Maison Jean Paul Gaultier, at the Kunsthal in Rotterdam. The exhibition consists of more than 140 original creations from the early 1970s to the present day, and from both the haute couture collections and ready-to-wear lines. It's a spectacular presentation and clearly I couldn't just walk by most of the creations without snapping some (detailed) pictures. You can visit the exhibition at the Kunsthal until May 12th.

March '13

So March has been freezing cold for the most part, but I've enjoyed having that as a reason to stay inside and make things cosy. I love winter! BUT moving on now, I guess. Happy Easter weekend everyone! (Instagram @ fash_n_chips)
