Absolutely can not believe another month is over again already. I spent most of the month July in surprisingly warm and sunny England and so it's been a really good one. My favourite month of this year so far! (Instagram @ fash_n_chips)

Floral skirt

No your eyes aren't deceiving you - that really is me wearing a skirt. A floral skirt (designed by me some years ago) no less. I never really seem to be in the mood for skirts anymore these days but here's what staying in a cottage surrounded by a beautiful English rose garden apparently does for my mood and my outfit inspiration.

Black and slouchy

THE most ridiculously comfortable outfit I can think of right now. And yet because it's all black I still feel strangely chic wearing this. Also, having seen so many people dressed in clothes that don't suit their shape (to put it nicely) during my recent holiday, I now feel more than ever that a loose fit should álways be the way to go - or you know, when in doubt.

As it still tends to cool off a bit in the evenings of this current "heat wave" I keep randomly throwing outfits together to keep myself from getting sick with a cold again (as I was last week) and this pic is one we snapped in the a-ma-zing gardens behind this week's cottage.. more on all that later!
